Frontman Davey Havok and guitarist Jade Puget of rock band AFI have started yet another band. After some mystery, it was confirmed that they are playing on new music released under the moniker XTRMST. The EP from the band surfaced online, which had many fans speculating whether the duo were behind the music. Puget confirmed their suspicions in a tweet where he stated “Now that the cat is out of the bag, XTRMST is indeed Davey and I. More to come.” The four track EP finds the guys exploring their aggressive, hardcore roots. The songs released are entitled “Dirty Nails,” “Conformist,” “Exterminate,” and “The Breed.”

Havok and Puget are no strangers to straying from the band. They have also released electronic music under the name Blaqk Audio, with their last album “Bright Black Heaven” released in 2012. As for AFI, they released their ninth studio album “Burials” last year. A few weeks ago it was announced they would be joining Linkin Park and 30 Seconds to Mars for a joint tour. Tickets for those shows are on sale now. For more on XTRMST and to hear their new EP, visit their official website.
