Want to see the big boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz on Saturday night, but don’t have the hundred of dollar to see it live in Las Vegas, or pony up the $60 to $70 pay per view fee?

No worry Angelinos, as there are many cheaper options right in town.

Golden Boy Promotion, producer of the event, will make the event viewable in theaters across the city. In conjuction with NCM Fathom , boxing fans will be able to see Ortiz’s challenge of Mayweather from the comfort of a movie theatre for a price tag of less than $20 in most cases. A list of the participating theatres in Los Angeles is available here.

Another option is purchasing tickets the Saul “Canelo” Alvarez – Alfonso Gomez fight over at the Staples Center the same night. The pay per view will broadcast the Alvarez – Gomez fight as part of the undercard, and those present at the Staples Center have the opportunity to watch the Mayweather – Ortiz main event on the big screens in the arena. The cheapest available tickets are priced at $50.

If you look around town there will be plenty of bar and restaurants offering the fight free of charge. For example Downey Cuban restaurant Havana Café, usually presents the fight in their bar for the price of a few drinks.

Tecate beer is offering a $25 rebate, if you choose to order the pay view from home, with more information available here.

Times may be tough, but there are numerous alternatives to forking over steep pay per view fees or going to the event live, in order to watch what should be an entertaining about between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz.
