Ben Affleck shaves his beard and the world takes notice. Hot off of "Argo" winning big at the Oscar's, Affleck shaved off a beard that he has been growing for what seems like more than a year. According to a report from late Monday (Feb. 25), he did it to mark the end of one chapter in his life. It was certainly a good day to do it, especially after "Argo" won Best Motion Picture.
The person who is probably the most excited about this is wife Jennifer Garner, who has been beside him every step of the way. It's certainly possible that Affleck was also keeping the beard, which was prominently featured in the film, through a superstition that could have affected the outcome of Oscar voting this year.
Affleck is certainly at the top of Hollywood after accepting several awards for the film, but it has been noted that he was snubbed when it came to a nomination for Best Director. He had actually won that award at several other acceptance dinners in the past few months, but for some reason he didn't even earn a nomination when it came to the Oscar's.

After winning the Oscar for Best Motion Picture, movie fans are definitely eagerly awaiting his next project.
