Aerosmith is one of the sole bands that have made an intense impact on music in every decade since they began in the 1970’s. They infuse the blues with rock and roll in a way that enthralls people all over the globe. Their music has proven to be timeless and they continue to release new music. Just last year they released their 15th studio album that rose on the charts higher than many of their previous albums, thus proving that they still reign as rock royalty. Countless bands have come and went since Aerosmith first blasted through the airwaves, confirming that their staying quality had established platinum status long ago.
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith have definitely had their problems within the band but always seem to pull through them with time. This shows that no matter what arises, good or bad that Aerosmith join together for the sake of the music and their religiously faithful followers. Even with Steven Tyler’s media mishaps and comedic every day life, people poke fun but it dissipates into ancient history when he hits the stage. His Boston Bad Boy persona is something associated with greatness that is never forgotten.
Their show at the Staples Center in December of 2012 was riveting. They brought out famous actor Johnny Depp to play guitar along to a Beatles’ song as well as an early Fleetwood Mac cover then asked Izzy Stradlin, a guitarist from the original lineup of Guns ‘n Roses, to play on Mama Kin, an Aerosmith song that Guns ‘n Roses covered on their 2nd album. These pleasant surprises were something that really got everyone’s blood pumping and reveals that Aerosmith are still revered in many different outlets.
