FREE ADVOCACY WORKSHOPS
TO HELP DISABILITY ADVOCACY GROUPS IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS
These workshops are provided by the Disability Advocacy Support Hub (DASH) - a project of the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania. The DASH project is supported by a grant from the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council.
Please note that seating is limited and reservations are required.
Getting It Done: Advocacy Outside the Box 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Using different advocacy strategies is much more powerful and more likely to succeed at bringing social change, than using just one kind of advocacy. The more creative you are, the greater your chances of success. We will help you to develop and use different strategies-administrative, legislative/political, legal, media/public education and direct action to achieve your advocacy goals.

Strategic Planning 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Understand the importance of having a clear mission and vision for your organization. Learn how to prepare an action plan with overarching goals and measureable objectives, as well as an effective strategy with target dates.
