On April 25, Disney Parks Blog announced a new Adventure by Disney trip to take advantage of the excitement over the inaugural runDisney Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend to take place at Disneyland Resort this fall. The trip will combine a trip to Disneyland Resort, several behind-the-scenes stops at Disney locations in Los Angeles and Hollywood, and runDisney race opportunities.

The Adventures by Disney (ABD) itinerary provides guests with access to runDisney’s sold-out Aventures Super Heroes Half Marathon and 5K races. In addition, the ABD trip will include two group pre-race runs and access to the race weekend’s “Pasta in the Park” party that is currently 97% full through runDisney’s official site.

In addition its organization around runDisney’s Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon, this special 7-day and 6-night itinerary offers the experiences and activities available on ABD’s Disney Backstage Magic itineraries. The trip will take guests on a tour Walt Disney Imagineering and The Jim Henson Company, which are not regularly open to the public, and a private tour of Hollywood.

For the Disneyland Resort portion of the trip, ABD guests will have a two-day VIP experience that includes private tours of Walt Disney’s Disneyland apartment and the Disneyland Dream Suite, as well as special FASTPASS service at both theme parks.

Disney Backstage Magic and Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon will take place Nov. 10 – 16 this year. The trip is timed to conclude with the runDisney race weekend events. Interested runDisney runners and Disney fans may contact Adventures by Disney or their Disney travel agent for more information.

Because runDisney’s Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend has sold out through conventional channels, this Adventures by Disney itinerary is one of a small number of ways runners may have access to the races. Some charity groups and travel agencies may have packages that include entry to the race events. A list of these opportunities is available on the runDisney site.
