One of the brightest parts of the season is piling into the car and heading down through the many neighborhood streets, looking at all the beautifully adorned homes and the many twinkling lights. But have you ever experienced the lights of a Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland?
For the fourth year in a row, Frederick, Maryland’s own Adventure Park USA is now hosting their Winter Wonderland—a Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland Drive-thru Light Display. The lights were officially ignited on the evening of Nov. 23 and will be brightening the winter night now through Jan. 5, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The lighted drive-thru displays are ongoing nightly, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Night (Note: though the drive-thru will be open during this time, the main building will only be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day).
Come out and be a part of what many residents in the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and the DC areas have already deemed an annual family tradition! Bring family and friends to see the over 10,000, mesmerizing outdoor lighted displays and shimmering, synchronized lights set to dance to favorite Christmas tunes along a mile-long path through the warmest winter wonderland of memories you will find this season.
As an added highlight, once you finish your drive through the lights, you are welcome to head into the main building to meet Santa Claus in person and enjoy a coupon for free hot cocoa. While warmly settled indoors, you may also decide to take advantage of the other additional coupons you received upon entry to Shadrack’s. These coupons include Adventure Park’s indoor attractions such as Bumper Cars, West World Laser Tag, Rustler’s Ridge Rock Wall, Hang’em High Ropes Course, the Stampede Arcade and the Prospector Playground. You may also pamper your pallet with tasty concessions at Chuckwagon Café.
Entry into Adventure Park USA’s Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is $20 per carload for 8 or less passengers and $50 for a mini-bus, activity van or limousine containing 9 to 25 passengers. Tour buses or vehicles carrying 25 or more passengers pay $100 admission. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army.
