At a time when our economy is gasping for breath the senator from Texas believes we need to delay funding to ObamaCare at this time. On the floor of the Senate Mr. Cruz makes points as to why it is essential to put our money elsewhere with hopes of improving jobs and the economy which is struggling at this time. To stop the funding to ObamaCare would be advancing economic growth according to Senator Cruz.
We need jobs in an economy that is stagnant. We need opportunity in our business sector to hire more individuals where the owners of the businesses are confident the healthcare plan won't hurt them. Currently businesses are not hiring full time employees to save them from the burdensome regulation requiring them to offer healthcare to all full-time workers.
The amendment offered by Senator Cruz is not going to pass in the Senate as the bill is the cornerstone of this administrations accomplishments regardless of the extent of hardship it actually puts on the American people.
The GAO released it's findings that the true cost of the Affordable Health Care Act will add 6.7 trillion dollars to our deficit as we do not have the means to pay for it. During debate the president stated the cost to implement the bill would be around 800 billion dollars.
With a national debt approaching 17 trillion right now and 120 trillion in unfunded mandates which are due within 10 years this nation must make tough choices as to where our tax dollars are really needed. This nation and our elected officials must take this debt crisis serious or we will be bankrupt just as the European nations are with their socialist ideologies failing them.
