What does technology like 3D Imaging Printers, piezoelectric inkjet printer, or Bluetooth have in common with an injured or handy-capable person?
The age of technology is forever changing what is, and what will be possible with 3D imaging printing on a individual and commercial spectrum. Medical aspects are far-reaching. In this series of articles we will "examine" several new and magnificent ways lives are being improved with technology for the population of persons that have suffered limb loss or were born without a limb; printing elements of the human body to make a copy and have it be a viable copy genetically and thrive, is the challenge.
Medical advancements in the prosthetic product bases where wood was the base for many decades, the manufacturing methodologies with improved design processes that are now more functional, as in a limb that performs a normal gait, or grasp, or complete job steps as you did before an injury, or just enjoy life as you did before your injury.
Birth anomalies can be addressed and the prosthetic choices from birth creates independence throughout life as usage of prostheses or genetically engineered body scaffolds to replace or construct body parts becomes available, will ensure each individual will enjoy an enhanced quality of life. If the options are there from the beginning stages of life, advanced movements and the evolving engineering of motor movement solutions in the future will give a full life path to those that seek it.

Can you fathom the population that is blind is due to a degenerative nerve cell disease that causes blindness would have a new choice in treatments, that is their own DNA structure. What if...??? they could do what these researchers did with rat optic nerve matter; to human subjects, to re-establish that deteriorated nerve with a procedure that would make it possible to implant an exact copy of the patient's own optic nerve?
Bio-medically Engineered verses Transplants?
In the scheme of things, rats/mice play a huge part in medical advancements, many of us see them as the underbelly of every sewer in American, but medically reared rats and mice are in fact one of the most important links to the advancements in medicine. Rats today are used where in the past cadavers, or volunteers with no guarantees to new medical process that requires experiments performed at your own risk. Of course we all have our opinion on how research is carried out; this article is outlining the advancements and without a core of animals to perform that preliminary research on, humans would have perished long ago, or at best would not be the healthy, or presumed to be healthy people verses prehistoric mankind.
