Adult Swim's Major Mayhem offers mindless fun

Promos for Major Mayhem inform viewers that the mission is impossible, but his infinite ammo begs to differ. The arcade-style game play and uncomplicated strategy may mean that the game has little to offer. Gamers who expect a complex android game should look elsewhere.

Cartoon-style graphics run throughout the game. Major Mayhem starts by giving the player choose one of several play modes to start the game. Additional modes can be unlocked through game play or by spending coins. Coins can be bought through micro transactions, or they can be earned through game play.

Classic mode sends the player through a series of missions in different environments. Each mission starts with a briefing filled with sophomoric humor. When the briefing ends a helicopter takes the title character to the mission area. The sprite will run into an area and take cover behind the nearest convenient object. The game play follows a repetitive pattern, although it does break from this in run 'n gun sessions.

A player aims the major's gun through a simple point and click interface. The position of the finger determines whether or not the bullets hit. In order to make the game challenging, the enemies fire back. A player stops shooting in order to take cover.

Micro transactions are available in the game. A player can access them through the armory, The armory allows players to exchange real money for coins in the game. Rocket Jump made sure that all of the upgrades and power-ups can be earned through game play.
