The 30-year-old Maidana (35-3, 31 KOs) earned a unanimous decision over Broner (27-1, 22 KOs) to capture the WBA welterweight title on December 14.
"A y'all bout to see me back in the ring in some weeks..... And I ain't fighting nobody until I fight @ChinoMaidana again ..... I'm a warrior," tweeted Broner, 24, a native Cincinnatian who is hyped by Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.
A powerful and beloved Argentinean, Maidana outworked Broner and floored the loudmouth in the second and eighth rounds.
Maidana, who is also a past junior welterweight champion, was far more active than Broner and landed bruising punches throughout the 36-minute slugfest.
Immediately after the cards were announced, “The Problem” bolted from the stadium without making any comments.
Unfortunately for “The Problem,” Maidana exposed Broner and proved he is nothing more than a fragile blowhard.
