Adriana De Moura marriage license: Bravo and publicist issue statement (Video)

On Jan. 4, the Internet was flooded with reports that Adriana De Moura of "The Real Housewives of Miami" and Frederic Marq are actually married. Well, Reality Tea posted on Jan. 5 that Bravo and the reality star's publicist have issued an explanation.

"The Real Housewives of Miami" star's publicist, Lynn Brodsky told the Miami Herald blog that Adriana De Moura was divorced Roberto in 2003, but the pair tried to work it out and had a common-in-law marriage until 2006. In 2008, she met Frederic Marq and quickly decided to get married. They went to the clerk's office without any friends or family present, and were married. However, there was a discrepancy in the marriage certificate and instead of having it corrected, they decided to just hold off until they were ready.

Brodsky said that a marriage is not legal if there is any type of discrepancy or error on the certificate.

Bravo's Ryan McCormick says the network was clueless and had no idea Adriana De Moura and Frederic Marq were already married.

What do you think of this explanation? Do you believe that Bravo had no idea or is this just a publicity stunt for "The Real Housewives of Miami?"
