When Legoland Florida General Manager Adrian Jones announced that the World of Chima was coming to the park in July, one of the new attractions he spoke about was the Quest for CHI boat ride. This centerpiece attraction will literally take guests through familiar places from the Legend of Chima, like the Crocodile Swamp and other tribal animal homes.
It's a good thing the boat ride opens in July because one of the ride's main features is that you'll get wet. Potentially very wet. Even bystanders won't be safe from the soaking.
Legoland Florida already makes liberal use of water in things like the pirate show, where people in the splash zone inevitably get a soaking, and the Aquazone Wave Racers, where bystanders can shoot riders with water jets.
The Quest for CHI boat ride continues this tradition and takes it to a new level of interactivity. Be prepared to shoot at targets and to go after other riders and people watching on the shore.
The boat ride is just one part of the expansion, which also includes character appearances, a new 4D movie, a Speedorz arena, and a huge Lion Temple entryway. The project is being done as a partnership with Cartoon Network. Jump to this article to learn more about that.
