Last week LifeChurch.tv, one of the trailblazers in online ministry, launched the Church Online Platform. We talked with Lori Bailey, director of communications at LifeChurch.tv and Center for Church Communication board member, about this new opportunity for churches, Chap Oscar asks :Can you give us an overview of what Church Online is?
Lori Bailey: For those who have never experienced it, Church Online is a community of people who gather for services that include an interactive video presentation of worship and teaching, a live chat environment translated from multiple languages around the world, opportunities for one-on-one live prayer, and the ability for users to engage their existing networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Our goal is to remove all the barriers of technology so people can be reached and become uniquely equipped to share God's Word with other family and friends right from their laptops, smartphones and desktops.
My passion is Home and Life Safety. I applaud the many minds that have gathered some of us like-minded Pastors and Churches who share an interest in developing a wonderful way to do Online Church around the globe. The formula has been Beta Tested over the course of many months.
Marsha, Co-Pastor and I really wanted to be in a position to capture our Teaching-Based Ministry on video, and to also secure professional grade video streaming. Glad you asked! We are a Online Church with absolutely No Real Estate or Expensive Buildings. No Church Bulletins, No Cardboard Funeral Home fans, No Building Fund Raisers, No Fried Chicken Dinners, No man-pleasing messenger worship or rings to kiss!
Our goal is to create a Bible-based Teaching Experience that will integrate with a real world church experience!
The Leadership at Life Church.tv, has noticed that the community can be loosely described in four segments:
1.Distant: People who are outside the physical reach of the church.
2.Curious: People who would prefer to explore their interest in spirituality in an online context.
3.Mobile: People who are a part of our church, but are looking for an option to worship together because they are traveling or displaced.
4.Digital: People who prefer to experience much of their community in an online context.
