Ella is an adorable Chinese Crested/Yorkie mix with beautiful long golden hair. She is just one year and a half old. Ella is an active little girl so she needs an owner who can take her walking at least once a day or on trips to the dog park. She is crate-trained, housetrained and walks nicely on a leash. Ella has been spayed, is heartworm-negative, has all of her shots, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention as well as a microchip. She would be fine in either an apartment or a house and does not require a fenced-in yard.
She is afraid of cats and loves to play with other dogs. Check out the attached video of Ella playing with her foster sister, Diga. Ella loves to go to the dog park and have play dates with other dogs. She is good with both large and small dogs, and would love to have a doggie playmate in her new home. She loves to cuddle on the sofa and give kisses. Ella loves to snuggle under a blanket with her person when it is cold and loves to make herself a sleeping nest in a pile of blankets. She loves to go to the dog park and will jump right into a stranger's lap, assuming she will be safe and loved.
Ella was an owner surrender because her owner got a new job with long hours and she was having to spend too many hours a day in a crate. She would do best with people who can be home during the day with her as she will chew on her tail if she is left crated for too many hours. Ella came to Healing Hearts severely underweight and nearly hairless. After a week with plenty to eat she is looking much healthier and her fur is coming back in. She needs to be fed separately from other dogs because she will eat everything she has access to. This can be done by feeding her in a crate or tethering her in her own eating area where she cannot reach other dogs' food. Ella is currently 10 lbs in size and will be 12 lbs when she reaches her healthy weight.
Ella is starting to learn what toys are and how much fun it can be to play. She comes with her favorite pink squeaky ball. If you are interested in adopting her, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also call or text (615) 290-2454. Ella's adoption fee is $200 which includes spay surgery, heartworm testing, shots and microchip as well as flea and heartworm prevention. Ella also comes with her special soft harness, leash, collar, a chew bone, and a reindeer sweater for cold weather.
