Meet Browny, who by no means is a stray, however her life had been one of prolonged loneliness. For seven years, Browny lived in the basement of her home; her physical needs had always been met - she had been given food, water, and shelter, but had never been considered a part of the family living comfortably upstairs.
On Friday, Browny went home to begin her new life thanks to the efforts of Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary and thousands of humane advocates who share the stories of needy pets all over social media. Browny now can look forward to being pampered and spoiled; just the kind of life an adorable pooch deserves. She has been renamed Kiki in celebration of her new life.
Browny's story had been shared 3,700 times since June 23 when family members of the dog's owner confided in Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in Rockford, Ill. that the dog needed more than what she had been provided. The organization wrote:
"Browny is a beautiful girl, her temperament is great and she is so comfortable with us, so accepting of our love.
Ready to 'begin' life at the age of seven."
Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary takes in adoptable dogs and cats from Rockford and the surrounding area. The pets are cared for and then adopted to qualified families and individuals for a nominal fee.
Please adopt your next four legged friend from a shelter or rescue. Make their dreams come true and be a hero to a needy pet.
