NBC News in Corpus Christi announces that there are over 6,000 children in Texas needing to be adopted. (Source: Kristv.com) The Texas Adoption Resource Exchange dispels some myths about adoption and shares that some basic requirements for adoption are that you are: 21-years-old, married or single, you have to pass a criminal/cps background check, pass a home inspection, attended training classes.

Where can prospective and interested parents start? TARE (Texas Adoption Resource Exchange) has been named by The Center for Digital Government as "Best Application Serving the Public" in its annual Best of Texas awards. At this website you can learn about foster care and adoptions as well find out about events, resources success stories and faith based programs.

Also available is the opportunity to create an account and learn about the children across the state who are looking for a forever home. You must create an account in order to have access, and create your own family profile, because the search for the right family fit works both ways.
