Adoption Interview Project 2011 launched

Heather, founder of the Open Adoption Bloggers at Production Not Reproduction, has announced the opening of the 2011 Adoption Interview Project.

In 2010, thirty-two pairs of open adoption bloggers interviewed each other on their blogs. The result was an impressive display of enthusiasm and insightfulness. Connections were made, blogs gained new readers, readers peered into new perspectives.

This year the focus has expanded from the open adoption community to the adoption community at large -- closed, semi-open, uncategorizable, and every point in between.

Heather says:

If you are a blogger who (1) writes at least occasionally about adoption, (2) is interested in meeting a fellow writer with different views and experiences, and (3) wants to extend a welcome into your own online space, this interview project is for you.

Dates to know:

  • October 28 is the last day to sign up. Shortly thereafter, you'll be paired with another adoption blogger.
  • November 17 -- smack dab in the heart of National Adoption Awareness Month -- is the date on which participants will post their interviews. Starting that day participants and non-participants can read through dozens of interviews and get to know people living some facet of adoption.

Full information, including very clear instructions, can be found here.
