The “adoptable dog of the week” in metro Atlanta this week is Maggie, a young female American Staffordshire terrier/Corgi mix, from Mutt Madd-ness in Marietta. Here is more about Maggie from the Mutt Madd-ness Petfinder site:
“This little girl is approximately one-and-a-half to two years old. She is being fostered by a family with four other dogs and children. She gets along very well with everyone in the family. She is a leaner - she loves to do a little loop-d-loop and get her tush on your lap. She loves attention and is very playful. She walks well on a leash and enjoys the dog park.
She unfortunately had a ruff beginning - although she does not show it. She was found tied to a tree, covered in fleas and ticks and starving. She was also pregnant. She did not deliver her dogs, she was spayed and fully vetted. She has been lovingly nurtured by her foster and she is doing great. She is becoming a healthy, happy girl. Maggie would love to find that forever person or family! Is that you?”

About Mutt Madd-ness (from their Facebook page)
“Mutt Madd-ness is a 501(c)(3) no-kill rescue made up of community volunteers dedicated to saving dogs whose lives are in jeopardy.
Our pups come from high-kill facilities and are cared for both emotionally and physically by foster families prior to their adoption into loving homes.
We strongly support spaying and neutering and will work diligently towards ensuring that the numbers of unwanted animals in the state of Georgia be kept to a minimum; we will champion for the welfare of all animals through legislation and education.
Our long term goal is to create a state-of-the art facility that will accommodate animals awaiting adoption; provide low cost medical care to the community; and act as a fulfillment center for those who will ultimately impact the future of all helpless animals.”
