The Las Vegas Valley Humane Society is once again overflowing with adoptable pets. This is kitten season, folks, and we all know what that means! More little bodies going feral, being discarded and eventually showing up at the doors of animals shelters in our areas! This means that adoptions have to take place today so that there will be room for all the new arrivals!
Here are a few "Cats of the Day" to hopefully encourage animal adoption and rescue in our Valley.
1. My name is GRADY. I'm a handsome 3 year old boy who was abandoned in a feral colony. I'm looking for a family who understands that a sweet boy like me simply doesn't want to live outside with ferals. I belong in a home - loved, snuggled and sleeping at the foot of someone's bed, being the outgoing social fella that I am. I get along well with people and other cats, and I am sure that I could adapt to dogs, too, since I am so laid back and mellow. Competition is fierce, but I need a home! Please come meet me. Contact the LVVHS at (702)434-2009 ask ask about me. I am neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
2. KATIE KABOOM is a petite 4 1/2 year old cat who's all hair! She lets you hold her like a baby, which calms her. When you let go, she runs around the house like a wild girl. She butts her head against any cat that's in her way, and loves playing with a laser light. Katie Kaboom likes sto sleep on a pillow by your head. She's been spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. To meet this unique kitty, please call the LVVHS at (702)-434-2009 to make sure she goes to adoptions to meet you.
3. STARR is a petite 4 year old gal. She has silky black fur with a white star on her belly and captivating yellow eyes. She tends to get picked on by other cats, and would rather be with a mellow, non-agressive cat or to be the only cat in the house. Right now, she gets along with her foster mom's dog who is calm and cat-friendly. She's very sweet and a bit shy, having just been rescued and still a bit scared and confused. Starr amuses herself by batting and tossing around toy mice. She is vaccinated, FelV Negative, micro-chipped and uses her litter box. You can see her on Saturdays at PEtco on Serene and Eastern.
