The “adoptable cat of the week” in metro Atlanta this week is Sylvester from Urban Pet Project (UPP). Sylvester is a young male domestic short cat who is black and white with white whiskers, a pink nose and a black “goatee.” Here is more about Sylvester from the UPP Petfinder website:
“Sylvester was found outside of an Atlanta apartment complex. Although this sweet kitten had a rough beginning, he has really come to enjoy the luxuries of being a pet. He purrs when held and is content to cuddle for hours. He loves other cats and can tolerate another dog, but they aren't really his favorite.
Sylvester loves to be cuddled in his person's arms and he has asked for a nice owner who will promise to give him daily hugs. He also loves to perch at the top of a large cat tree where he can observe the world. He is a sweet boy who will make someone a very lucky owner.”

About Urban Pet Project
Urban Pet Project is an animal adoption center in Midtown Atlanta with a strong belief in educating people about being responsible pet parents. According to the organization’s website and Facebook page, UPP was created for the purpose of “decreasing the number of homeless animals in Fulton County by offering education programs to the public, spay/neuter grants, and helping other established rescues operating in Fulton County receive food donated from our organization. UPP is also working directly to re-home pets from Fulton County Animal Services from our adoption and education center.”
