The summer months in New York City that were relaxing and enjoyable for many New Yorkers were difficult for countless feline rescue groups operating in the Tri-State area. A great number of fosterers going on summer vacations as well as August being the height of kittens' season mean that there were far less suitable homes for cats to go to when they were rescued from ACC, hoarding situations or the streets. That makes an upcoming ADOPT NY’s Photos in the Park event on September 7th one of the most imperative adoption events this year.
The event will be taking place in the gorgeous McCarren Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and will feature pets from prominent rescue groups such as Anjellicle Cat Rescue, KittyKind, Posh Pets Rescue and several others. The event will have many adoptable cats and dogs as well as professional photographers who will be there to photograph your own pets should you bring them with you. All of these groups are non-profit and volunteer-based, and they depend heavily on public support in not just adopting/fostering, but also donations and volunteers.
Mischievous orange tabby, luxurious Russian Blue, or cheerful tortie: there are many wonderful cats to choose from for anyone seeking a loyal and playful companion. Please come by on September 7th to enjoy a great day in the park and show your support for an amazing work these groups do to daily save countless lives in New York City.
