This brother and sister duo have never known a loving home of their own. They have lived in a kennel at a boarding facility near Houston since the age of 4 months: more than six years now. They only know each other, their kennel and the staff who care for them. They have received enough attention to gain their own facebook page but are still waiting to be adopted.
Gwinn and Rowdy’s lonely existence has some happy moments when caregivers take them out to play and give them attention. These two sweet dogs deserve a loving family of their own, a house and yard where they will have room to run, play and lay down in a comfortable, open space.
Both are Chow mixes, spayed/neutered, current on shots, house trained and good with kids. They are closely bonded and need to be adopted together. Neither is good with other dogs or cats so they would be ideally suited with a family that has no other animals. At seven years they are still able and more than willing to give several good years of unconditional devotion and affection to the special someone who will give them a chance for a good life.
Contact Marlene Marino at email@example.com to adopt or for more information about these two darlings.
Forgotten Pet Advocates is a rescue group whose mission is to bring attention to this little known side of rescue: animals spending years in a kennel waiting to be adopted after they are abandoned by an owner or rescue group. They can be contacted on their web site or on facebook here.
