Mardi Gras is a party anywhere you go. It’s a celebration of music, parades, and excitement. New Orleans is best known for this carnival held on Shrove Tuesday (March 4, 2014), but it’s a festivity held around the country. Some folks get creative with this party and use it as a way to celebrate life. Adopting a new family member into your home is the purrfect time for a festive event. Join Helping Clay Kitties celebrate Mardi Gras and as they say it best “a party isn’t a party without kitties.”

A Mission to Help Cats

Helping Clay Kitties is a group with a mission to help the cats at Clay County Animal Care and Control (CCACC). Their mission is to “Promote adoptions, volunteerism, and advocate clay kitties at Clay County Animal Control.” CCACC is located in Green Cove Springs. Please visit their website to learn how you can adopt a cat or dog, volunteer, or help continue their mission to adopt, rescue, and save the lives of animals in Clay County. Stop by and find your purrfect pet.

CCACC Adoption hours and fees:
ADOPTION FEE: Adult cats: $15 or less. Kittens: $30 or less

Hours: Open Tuesday through Friday-10:00am to 4:00pm
Saturday- 10:00am through 3:00pm

Off site location open 12pm-4pm Saturday & Sunday
