Adobe will launch Photoshop for the iPad 2 on Monday, February 27. Los Angeles users can start downloading it at 9 a.m. (PST). It will have many of the same features as the desktop version of Photoshop, including use of layers, selection tools, and cool filters.
However, this column hears that that Photoshop isn’t quite optimized for the iPad 3 yet, which has a Retina display. “Adobe is having problems optimizing the app for the new screen and they aren't sure it will be compatible with the iPad 3 right away,” our source says.
Adobe could neither confirm nor deny the rumors, but tells us that the iPad version of the popular software title will blow people away. “This app took a year to develop and we are confident users will be absolutely amazed.”
Are you a Photoshop user? If so, are you planning on buying it for the iPad?
