It will be held the weekend of October 19-20 at the winery's Lake George tasting room. Although attendees will be able to have free wine samples, they will have the opportunity to donate directly to the cause, participate in contests, enjoy a special “Drink Pink” wine cocktail, buy a “Fight Like a Girl, Drink Like a Lady” breast cancer T-shirt, and buy a bottle of limited edition “Drink for a Cure”-labeled blush wine. A portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
The fundraiser was created by Stephanie Ottino, the winery's new events who has been setting a busy pace this summer representing the winery at a host of wine-centric festivals.
Ottino, a 2010 SUNY Oneonta graduate in hospitality management and business communications, moved from Maywood, NJ, to join the Adirondack Winery in May. She had worked with Party Rental Ltd. in Teterboro, NJ, for three years.
The Adirondack Winery, a member of the Upper Hudson Valley Wine Trail, is located in Queensbury, The tasting room is located at 285 Canada Street in Lake George Village, opposite the Shepherd's Park amphitheater.
Hours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, to 9 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and to 9 p.m. Sunday.
