Adele Wins 2012 Grammy Award For Best Music Video

The widely-expected coronation of Adele at the 2012 Grammy Awards has already begun. The acclaimed British singer captured the award for Best Short Form Music Video at this afternoon's non-televised portion of the show.

Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" beat out former winners OK Go and Weird Al Yankovic, as well as Radiohead, Skrillex, and Memory Tapes to claim the honor. The video also captured three trophies at last fall's MTV Video Music Awards.

Adele was not present at the early ceremony, so video producer Hannah Chandler took the stage. She said, "Thank you to Adele for giving us such a fantastic track to work with."

"Rolling in the Deep" defeated Radiohead's "Lotus Flower," OK Go's "All is Not Lost," Weird Al Yankovic's "Perform This Way," Skrillex's "First of the Year (Equinox)," and Memory Tapes' "Yes I Know."

The victory for Best Music Video means that Adele could end up sweeping everything. She is widely expected to win all five of her other nominations later tonight, including Record, Song and Album of the Year. The televised portion of the 2012 Grammy Awards airs tonight at 8 pm ET on CBS.
