Adele stands up for Chris Brown, says they were complimenting each other (Video)

Adele, after looking like she was calling Chris Brown out at the Grammy Awards in L.A. Sunday, the nine time Grammy winner herself is offering up her take on the events today. The Brit sensation stepped up to the plate and defended her beleaguered friend saying it was basically all nonsense. Adele certainly looked as if she and Chris Brown were having a row when they were pictured at the ceremony.

As most of the crowd stood and applauded Frank Ocean‘s win, Chris Brown stayed firmly in his seat, although he did applaud. Adele was seated just in front of Brown, and according to Fox News she seemed to give Chris some shade for his snubbing of Ocean.

Adele was apparently complimenting Chris Brown on his 'Liberace' suit, and he had equally kind words for her flora.

Adele took to Twitter to explain what the photo captured, saying, “Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually”. By her own account, she and Chris are just fine, that's according to E! News.
