It’s my ironic take on celebrity that made Adele come in to see my work. I did Kate Middleton and I’m sending that to her," said artist Darren Coffield.

Visitors to the singer's home may have to turn their heads to get a good look of the portrait however. As Coffield is known for his upside-down images of celebrities.

By doing upside-down celeb images I’m trying to say you can’t trust the images projected in the media, because the camera always lies in the 21st Century. Everything’s retouched, and Adele likes that notion," he explained.

Coffield said that he may be doing a portrait of the singer herself very soon.

Adele is a huge fan of the British royal family. She even received a MBE medal, which stands for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, and is given to exemplary British subjects, from Kate's father-in-law, Prince Charles, at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, Dec. 19. The singer's medal honored her for her "services to music."

Showing what a patriot she is, the singer even had mini British crowns pasted on her fingernails to receive the medal.
