Adele doesn’t want to share baby name; fails miserably

“I wear your name around my neck,” sounds like an introduction to a new Adele song. Adele has tried very hard to keep the birth and the identity of her baby boy a secret from prying eyes. On Jan. 23 photos splashed across various news sites that had been blown up to show the necklace Adele wore while out shopping in West Hollywood for her son the day before. In the photos you can see Adele had tried to cover her face with her purse, but that didn’t stop the photogs from capturing what they could.

Blowing up those photos gives us an up close view of a gold necklace that simply says “Angelo” giving hint to the baby’s name. That sure doesn’t mean “Little Peanut,” which is what she has been calling him according to her statement after the Golden Globes. On Jan. 23 Daily Mail gave a quote from fellow UK paper, The Sun: “Those close to Adele have been told the baby is called Angelo,” a source told the paper. No one seems sure of the significance or whether that is his name, but they do know she just wants to keep it quiet.

Adele gave birth to a baby boy on Oct. 19. After the pregnancy her spokesperson released a short statement saying that there would be no release of information and there was no comment. Adele had the law against her because she failed to register the baby’s name within the allowed time period.

At the awards show said she wasn’t going to reveal the name because it was “too personal and special” she wanted to spend her time enjoying him. Who can blame her?
