Adele has taken to her Twitter to clear the air on the infamous Chris Brown photo that went around the internet the night of the 2013 Grammys. It looked like the Brit was giving the boy a good tongue lashing but according to Adele, it wasn’t like that at all. On Feb. 13, EW went on to explain the confusion.
The media went crazy with the picture of the “Rolling in the Deep” singer looking like she was scolding Chris Brown after he chose to stay seated when Frank Ocean won an award that he was also up for. The two men obviously have no love for each other after their altercation a few weeks ago. Many thought Adele was telling Brown exactly how she felt about the situation. However, the new mom said in her tweet, “Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually!”
Maybe she had to yell her complements over the noise of the venue, which was why she looked like she was chewing him out. A photo snapped at just the right…or wrong time, can certainly cause a lot of ruckus. The second picture they posed for might just reinforce the fact that they were getting along just fine. Although Chris Brown seemed to have quite a sheepish look on his face.
Who knows what really went on, but it is good that Adele decided to set things straight about what really happened that night at the Grammys.
