Preston, Lancashire-based Lunar Caravans Ltd., announced today that the award winning, Tottenham-born singer-songwriter, “Adele” Laurie Blue Adkins, who last night (February 10, 2013) won the Best Pop Solo Artist award for "Set Fire to the Rain (Live)," at the 55th Grammy Award’s in Los Angeles, has bought her granny, Doreen Adkins, a £24K twin axle Lunar Delta RS caravan for her 70th Birthday.
According to a report in Britain’s Daily Star newspaper on Saturday, Grandma Doreen was ‘thrilled’ with the new 1735kg, 4-berth, Lunar luxury caravan after years spent vacationing in a much older model.
One neighbour told the newspaper, “Doreen loves spending weekends at her local caravan park in Essex with her dog and Adele often visits - even now she’s an international star. It might seem weird for Adele to be going from the Grammy’s in Los Angeles to a caravan park near Clacton-on-Sea, but she loves it.”
Although Lunar Caravans has specialized in the manufacture of travel trailers for the past 42 years the company is set to launch its first camper car conversion, the “Vacanza,” at the Spring Caravan & Camping Show at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, on Stand 1200, Hall 1 at the NEC in Birmingham.
