Things are definitely looking up for Adele this week as she has confirmed her plans to perform at the Grammy Awards next weekend, and now, she also managed to keep her top spot on the Billboard 200 -- beating out seven new entries vying for that coveted No. 1 position.
According to Reuters, Adele's "21" kept its No. 1 spot on Wednesday, February 1, for the 18th week. The second album from Adele, "21" has sold over six million copies in the United States alone since its release just a year ago.
Adele managed to beat out competition from country superstar Tim McGraw, who's 11th studio album "Emotional Traffic" debuted at No. 2, while new albums from Lamb of God, Ingrid Michaelson, Kellie Pickler, Kari Jobe, and Seal all made it into the top 10.
Despite some weeks of lowered sales figures last month, Adele's "21" was the only album to surpass the 100,000 mark, believed to be in part due to a deluxe edition re-issued in Target stores across America last week.
Look for Adele to make her live comeback performance during the 54th Annual Grammy Awards airing Sunday, February 12, on CBS.
