Adele and Jennifer Hudson: Seeing double?

The 54th annual Grammy Awards aired Sunday evening on CBS to a somber crowd after the devastating news of Whitney Houston’s death on Grammy Eve. However, the show must go on and did it ever with big winner Adele and Jennifer Hudson’s beautiful memorial rendition of Houston’s I Will Always Love you.

Both powerhouse voices of Adele and Hudson performed during the music celebration and it was like seeing double. Each singer wore black and similar wavy Marilyn Monroe hairstyles oozing sex appeal.

During the Oscar winner and former American Idol contestant’s ode to Houston on the Grammy’s, it was clear how moved she was performing for her idol. It was also evident how beautiful Hudson looked. The side part, wavy classic Hollywood bob was perfect for her face and she looked gorgeous.

Adele, Grammy winner for Record of the Year for Rolling In the Deep, Album of the Year for 21, Song of the Year for Rolling In the Deep, Best Pop Solo Performance for Someone Like You, Best Pop Vocal Album for 21 and Best Short Form Music Video for Rolling In the Deep who also belted out Rolling in the Deep effortlessly after recovering from throat surgery looked absolutely stunning. Her makeup was perfect as was her interpretation of the similar classic, wavy bob seen on Hudson. However, Adele took the look one step further adding vibrant red lips akin to Marilyn Monroe.

Hudson and Adele mirroring each other’s look was most likely a coincidence, but ironic as both are strong, talented vocal artists with outstanding instruments along the lines of the late and never duplicated Whitney Houston.
