Additional RE6 mode revealed, PS3 DLC, PC release, Mercenaries news (Photos)

Capcom's been anything but silent about their beloved survival horror franchise the last few days. on top of the previous announcement about Revelations being released on home consoles, it was also hinted that fans of Mercenaries 3D might be in for a treat. The hint was rather vague, with a representative on the Unity boards stating that they had plans, but they were mum on what exactly. Sven acknowledged a request for a more expansive Mercenaries mode and suggested they talk about it next week, while telling member to look forward to the more expansive Raid Mode in the updated version of Revelations.

For those who have been waiting for RE6's new modes to hit PS3, it has been announced that they will release this February, each mode costing $3.99.

Two new modes titled "No Mercy" and "Siege" (readers might remember that Siege mode was supposed to have been released with the last batch of DLC, but was replaced by Onslaught) have also been revealed, with the former being a revamped version of the original Mercenaries that brings the total possible combo up to 300 and ups the difficulty of the mode. Screenshots promise hectic combat. Unfortunately, this mode is PC exclusive. PC players will also receive the other DLC modes for free. Capcom's latest to the franchise will cost $39.99 for digital download

Siege mode will see between two and six players taking the roles of Agents or enemies to either protect or kill a BSAA agent. Zombies can attack crystals similar to time bonuses that will release more powerful monsters onto the field. Agents can find ways to cut down the remaining time they must survive to event he playing field.

Resident Evil 6 will cost $39.99 for digital download on PC.
