The announcement for additional 10,000 square feet of potentially leased space came after Irgens bought a one-acre parcel of land from US bank on Milwaukee Lakefront last week.

So far they have signed leases for more than 10,000 square feet for unannounced tenants, and in need for approximately the same leased amount to get access to financing required for construction start approval. If everything goes according to plans, construction of the new 18 story multi tenant office building should begin as soon as early spring of 2014.

The tower should provide at least a total of 360,000 square feet of multi tenant office and retail space for that area of a cost over $100 million for the development.

“This is a step in the development process of 833 East, We still need to achieve a little more leasing before our lending group will let us start construction.” said Mark Irgens, CEO and president of Irgens. This multi tenant office building should join the office building at the Brewery as the first multi tenant space of its kind.

The building is originally designed by the well-known architects, Kahler Slater of Milwaukee. It’s the newest addition to the US Bank center campus on Wisconsin Ave downtown, and the Milwaukee Skyline.
