The rumored “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” could be in development at another studio. According to a report from VG247 on March 12, High Moon Studios recently posted new job ads looking for employees in order to develop “a high-profile, first person shooter for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.” The listing also mentioned the Radiant engine, which previously to build prior “Call of Duty” games.

The Sledgehammer Games development team was recently promoted to become one of the big three studios behind “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.” The company is apparently focusing on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the first-person shooter, possibly outsourcing the PS3 and Xbox 360 port to the aforementioned High Moon Studios.

The upcoming “Call of Duty” title is rumored to be set in the same universe as the “Modern Warfare” sub-series. Sledgehammer Games helped Infinity Ward developed “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” before being given the full reigns by Activision to create the next installment of the franchise.

The development team at High Moon Studios is best known for creating the “Deadpool” video game along with the “Transformers” series. Despite the launches of the PS4 and Xbox One, it appears that the company will still be working with the PS3 and Xbox 360.
