Adding bling to your glass or wine

Looking to add some bling to you glass of wine? The people of Bodegas Valdelana in Rioja, Spain have the wine for you! The Valdelana family has been making wine in Rioja since the 1500’s. Their 2008 Centum Vitis, Tempranillo is packaged with gold flakes that you sprinkle into your glass of wine. The idea is to sprinkle some of the gold dust into you glass of wine to take advantage of the gold’s antioxidant properties. The wine itself is made from century old Tempranillo vines that were planted pre-phylloxera.
When to drink this wine? Maybe a nice romantic dinner, are you about to propose or celebrate a special anniversary? Celebrating the closing of a big deal? Or even the intended use of taking advantages of added antioxidants to your diet. This has to be a special occasion because it isn’t cheap. Most wine shops charge around $250 for this bottle, remember the price of gold is high.
Lucky for us in South Florida we have Old Vines Wine and Spirits 2250 Southwest 22nd Street Miami, FL 33145 (305) 858-0717. Go by and talk to owner Alex and he will get this bottle for you for $180. You can also e-mail Alex at www.oldvineswine.com.
