I've succumbed to Pittsburgh's Milk Shake Factory and all of its decadence. 55 milk shake flavors! Candies! Half-priced happy hours! I smile about it now, and because I was still able to fit into a funky vintage dress found in the neighborhood, the smiles didn't disappear. The lusciousness is just, well, addictive! I was able to chalk it off to a special treat when I visited the South Side of the city . . .
And now, all bets are off! The family members of the 100 year old ice cream parlor and candy shop have created Edward Marc Chocolatier. You can get their Snappers -- a new fave of Kathy Lee, Hoda and well, me -- online there. You can also now get them at Costco! I was glad to be hosted to experience them.
Billed as the "ultimate salty sweet snack," it's a blend of creamy caramel, rich milk chocolate, and the salty crunch of pretzels. So, it's like a turtle candle without the pecans. The pretzel supplies salt and crunch. We have a winner! Okay, don't forget to eat dinner and get your hand out of my bag of Snappers.
