R-CATS began by helping feral cats in Rome, NY, and as the group grows and works more and more with a network of foster families for adoptable cats and kittens, they are also focusing on the adoption side of rescue.
Robing Yager of R-CATS explains about the group's adoption process as, "Our adoptions require an application that includes a vet reference and two non-related personal references. A letter from a landlord is required if the person rents and a home visit is done either before the actual adoption or very shortly after. A $50 donation is requested at the time of the adoption."
Whiz Bang is one of the kittens available for adoption through R-CATS. He is an approximately 6 months old, medium-haired kitten. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. Whiz Bang is also microchipped - as are all R-CATS.
Whiz Bang's foster family extols his gorgeous yellow-gold eyes and big, fluffy tail that he proudly carries like a banner. He is very inquisitive and fearless to new conditions and changes. He's always among the first to come and check out a new toy or climber. He eats heartily, is friendly with all the other cats and never aggressive or mean; he loves to play both with the other cats or by himself with a foil ball or mouse toy. He also likes to watch the birds and look out the window.
