Th'ink Tank Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery, Denver

Th’ink Tank Tattoo and Art Gallery on south Broadway has been working hard to make a name for itself since it was founded in 2002 and they have succeeded remarkably. The shop not only offers some of the best custom tattoo work in the city (with 7 resident artists) but also features an art gallery that rotates show from both local and traveling artists. The gallery has a casual feel that allows any viewer to feel comfortable and it should be on everyone’s list of stops for First Friday art walks.

This month the gallery is featuring the work of local artist Cristian Whitney as well as art by John Kirk. Whitney was born and raised in Denver and has been active in the art scene since 2000. He is most well known for his work in photography in design and his subject matter ranges from the grungy urban landscapes to commentary on human rights and politics. His work has been shown at St. Francis Cabrini, Core Gallery, Revoluciones, and Th’ink Tank.

The reception will be during First Friday, August 7th from 8pm-midnight and is sponsored by Pabst.

While you're there take the time to check out the portfolios of the tatto artists that make Th'ink Tank what it is and view the work of guest artist Cameron Patrick Heavyweather who will be there August 6-8.
