Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore to re-team

Variety reported yesterday that Adam Sandler (“Reign Over Me”) and Drew Barrymore (“Ever After”) are set to star in an untitled romantic comedy from “Click” director Frank Coraci.

The story centers on a couple who, after disastrous blind date, are stuck together in a family resort with their children from previous marriages.

As the typical romantic comedy goes by the end I’m sure they will fall in love, and everything will be great, but it is nice to see these two reuniting.

The actors have had great success on-screen in the past with “The Wedding Singer” and “50 First Dates,” and even though I don’t much care for Barrymore (I don’t think she is that great of an actress or that impressive to look at) I think it is smart to try to recapture that magic.

Production is set to begin in May.
