Adam Richman has been known for hosting food shows on the Travel Channel. He became widely popular when he became host of “Man vs. Food.” Since the show ended in 2010 Richman has worked hard to shed the pounds he put on during filming. He has now shed 70 pounds and looks incredible! On Thursday, US Weekly shared the stars transformation and his new Cosmopolitan cover story.
Richman is proud of how he has changed his lifestyle and his appearance and with good reason! The new cover of the British Cosmopolitan reveals Richman laying on a white floor wearing nothing but a USA soccer ball and red, white and blue socks with cleats. His amazing weight loss accomplishments are not the only reason he shed his clothes for the photo shoot. Richman also agreed to the photos to help raise awareness of male cancer for Cancer Research U.K.
Richman told E! that it is a “profound honor” going from hating the way he looks to being a Cosmo centerfold. Many are wondering how Adam lost all the weight. He says he finally reached a point where he knew he had to make a change. He revealed it was all depressing and not just his appearance. Airplane seats were no longer comfortable and he was wearing much larger clothing. After a doctor’s appointment he realized he had to lose the weight.
Richman began using his love of soccer as a workout routine. He incorporated running, squats, pushups, resistance bands and sprints into an intense exercise program for himself. All of his hard work paid off! Adam lost the 70 pounds in just ten months. He has plenty to be proud of! He is now healthy and looks amazing. He commented that it’s nice to be considered sexy now instead of just a fun loving teddy bear. Fans can pick up the July issue of Cosmopolitan UK to read the complete story.
