Adam Levine tells his fans like it is and that’s exactly what happened on Sunday night after the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. While the show offered up the good, the bad and the raunchy, there were quite a few entertainers who felt the show wasn't what it used to be. As a musical professional, Adam Levine has seen the VMAs over the years and has a different perspective than a typical fan. Unfortunately, it sounded like he wasn't impressed with what he saw in Brooklyn.
“The VMA's seriously used to be so awesome,” tweeted Adam Levine from his official Twitter account on Sunday. It was obvious the star was watching the show, but didn’t have too much to share other than reflecting on how it was before Brooklyn.
Offering up a younger perspective of the music scene, many critics of the 2013 VMAs are suggesting they felt out of touch with most of the show. However, there was plenty of kind words when *NSYNC and Justin Timberlake were on stage as it appeared everyone could relate to the entertainers.
Adam Levine isn't alone in his reflection about the 2013 VMAs as looking back there were some raunchy moments, but nothing compared to last night. Hopefully there will be some great moments in the future that match up to the past shows, but this show didn't seem to cover all the elements for a perfect night.
