That’s right, ladies. Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” judge Adam Levine, 35, married his Victoria Secret model girlfriend, Behati Prinsloo, 25, on Saturday, July 19 at Flora Farm in Los Cabos, Mexico. The couple exchanged vows in front of close to 300 guests which included: Erin Heatherton, Jonah Hill, Jason Segal, Robert Downey, Jr. and Levine’s bandmates James Valentine and Jesse Carmichael.
In lieu of wedding gifts, Mr. and Mrs. Levine asked their guests to make donations to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. While the Los Angeles native wore the traditional tux for the special occasion, his bride marched down the aisle in a fitted Marchesa gown. Prior to the nuptials, the festivities kicked off with a beach party on Friday evening at the El Dorado Golf & Beach Club.
According to US Magazine, a close source reported in 2012 that “Behati always had a crush on Levine and was a little jealous of Anne.” Anne, being Anne Vyalitsyna, is a fellow Victoria Secret model and former girlfriend of the singer. Levine and Prinsloo, who hails from South West Africa (Namibia) started dating two years ago. The pair had a brief split in 2013, but reunited and became engaged the same year despite Levine’s previous vows to remain single. Levine to Jay Leno in October 2013, “Famous last words: I’ll never get married. You know, I still don’t think you have to get married, unless you meet someone you want to marry and then you marry them and it’s wonderful.” He popped the question in July 2013. After his bachelor party in Las Vegas during the month of March, Levine told People Magazine that he “had enough bachelor parties” and was ready to settle down with his fiancé.
Prinsloo’s father is a minister in her native country and her mother operates a bed and breakfast there. The newlyweds will be spending their honeymoon in South Africa. Come this September, Adam and his group Maroon 5 will also be celebrating the release of their latest album, “V.”
