Adam Levine has dyed his hair platinum blonde according to a report out of Us Weekly on Sunday. Don’t kill the messenger, but in accordance with his many fans that commented under his Twitter pic, this is not a good look for the Maroon 5 front man.
The assumption, according to Us Weekly, is Adam Levine could have dyed his hair blonde for an upcoming role, as “The Voice” coach has recently tried his hand at acting. He appeared on three episodes of “American Horror Story: Asylum” in 2012 and was featured in the movie “Begin Again,” which recently debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival.
As of yet, there has been no reason attached to 35-year-old’s hair change, except the caption under Adam Levine’s mirror selfie that stated, “Apocalypse prep course complete.” The Twitter picture was posted on Saturday alongside his fiancé, 24-year-old Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo. The couple was engaged last July.
Some of Adam Levine’s fans loved his new platinum blonde hair and others simply said to “stop.” His hair color garnered a mixed bag of opinions, however the majority seemed not to love it.
When dying dark hair very light as Adam Levine did, the eyebrows also need to be lightened, not to the extent of platinum, but enough to not notice such a drastic difference between eyebrow and hair color. Additionally, Levine’s hair is short and buzzed, which will require a tremendous amount of upkeep. “The Voice” coach is an entertainer and going beyond the norm is something to be expected, and Adam Levine’s hair color certainly won’t take away from his smoldering good looks, even if it doesn’t complement his skin tone.
Last December Adam Levine earned the sought-after title of People's Sexiest Man Alive 2013. The sultry cover depicted a “cool, confident and seductive” Maroon 5 front man whose brown hair was created with products from Sexy Hair Care. The popular hair care brand has also been responsible for the many styles of Christina Aguilera as seen on “The Voice,” Adam Levine’s co-star. The beauty products can be found in fine salons or online.
