It seems two more celebrities have taken the move to retail clothing. Both Adam Levine and Nikki Minaj have joined forces with Sears Holdings to work on their clothing and accessories collections to be sold at Kmart stores and ShopYourWay.com.
Both stars seem to be going down the same paths recently. Both are jodges on hit TV music shows with Adam Levine as a judge on 'The Voice' and Nikki Minaj as a judge on 'American Idol' as well as each having their own individual celebrity perfumes. The two stars will design and develop their individual lines beginning this year and will be also released this year nationwide.
“We are thrilled to align Kmart and SHOP YOUR WAY with two of America’s superstars,” said Imran Jooma, executive vice president and president of Marketing & Online at Sears Holdings, in a press release. “We welcome Adam and Nicki into our world and look forward to capturing their energy and creativity on ShopYourWay.com and translating it into unique apparel, accessories and other merchandise.”
Minaj also expressed her excitement in the press release, saying, “I am so excited to work with this iconic, mass retailer and to bring affordable fashion to my beautiful barbz all across the U.S.”
“Partnering with SHOP YOUR WAY to develop this line was an exciting opportunity for me and I am really looking forward to diving into the process of designing an apparel and accessory collection,” said Adam Levine .
A lot of questioning is surrounding Adam Levine's line as the star is normally seen in wife beaters, v-necks and flannels. As for Nikki Minaj's line one can expect bright colors especially pink and bold prints. As for their accessories line, one can only imagine what type of items will be for sale since their lines are meant to represent their individual personalities and styles as well as their creative talents.
Adam Levine and Nikki Minaj will join such other celebrity names like Sofia Vergara, Selena Gomez, Kathy Ireland and Martha Stewart who all sell designer collections for Kmart stores. As of now no release date has been announced for either collection but we'll definitely be on the look out to see what these two stars have to share with the public.
