Adam Levine and Matthew Morrison duet: Something about luck and a lady

Hot off the press! Us Weekly reports on Friday that Adam Levine is teaming up with his buddy Matthew Morrison to put a new spin on an old favorite. The duet is actually a very well known tune that has some pretty deep roots.

“Luck Be a Lady” is a popular song from the musical “Guys and Dolls” and was a staple for Frank Sinatra. The song should be right up Morrison’s alley as the “Glee” star performed in many Broadway shows before joining the television series.

After giving it a go with Mercury Records in 2011 with his self-titled album, Morrison decided to sign with Adam's label, 222 Records. The singer seems more than happy to be working with Levine now as he stated, “Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together.”

The Maroon 5 frontman states he is “excited for everyone to hear Matthew’s forthcoming album” and “great things are in store for him with this release.”

“The Voice” coach is known to be an incredibly versatile musician as well as an overachiever. Who wouldn’t want to be under his direction? There has got to be a line a mile long outside the 222 Records’ door. What’s the address again?

Between the airwaves and television, fans will have plenty of chances to see and hear more from both of these talented guys. What a wonderful world. Maybe they should cover that one too while they're at it ...
