Adam Lambert was scheduled to be on ABC’s New Years Rockin’ Eve, but was cancelled after his stunt at the American Music Awards. But he does have other plans, he tweeted out to fans on Sunday.
ABC has been wary of the American Idol star and has cancelled quite a few of the star’s performances over the past few months. Lambert isn’t sitting around waiting for something to happen, he has been picked up by several other networks and has made numerous performances over the past few months.
Lambert plans to headline in Gridlocked NYE in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve, but the performance will not be televised. Adam Lambert tweeted this on Sunday about his New Years Eve performance plans:
“unfortunately Gridlocked NYE will NOT be filmed/televised/streamed. It's a LIVE event only. Hope to see you there!!"
Many Lambert fans are disappointed because they won’t be able to see him, and hoped to be able to watch him on ABC New Years Eve. The buzz on this story is hot because Lambert just tweeted his plans out yesterday, and because many people want to know what he is doing.

This is so stupid !!! ABC needs to smarten up... I'm a 62 year old Grandmother and I think Adam Lambert is great !!!! I just got his CD as a Christmas present from my daughter... I have played it all day!
Well it is ABC loss, I will not be watching NYE on ABC or anything on that network. Still , this is a great opportunity for ADam and a much better one, he headlines Gridlock and gets to perform a 40 min.set, much better than 2 songs on ABC insipid program.
Won't be watching ABC ever!! I'm happy for all the many fans who will see Adam perform live at Gridlock! Wow 40min of Adam.....heavenly!!!
ABC needs to get a life and stupid decisions like this can and hopefully will hurt their network. Adam rocks, his CD is fantastic and he will become a superstar with or without ABC's endorsement. And to those who are lucky enough to see his Gridlocked NYE performance live - what a way to celebrate the New Year! I am green with envy.....
I'm so happy for Adam! Getting to headline a private show and to be able to perform for 40 minutes that is huge. The other Idols get a couple of songs and have to compete against other artists in New York. They will freeze their tails off! I would rather get this private live show anyday than have to deal with the New York crowd. To bad it isn't televised. The Red Cross is such a great cause too. Wow, Adam such smart decisions you've made. I applaud you!

Adam's performance is referred to as a stunt? It was after the sainted 10:00 pm FCC deadline.
It was a performance ! not a stunt. Just like Gaga's performance who by the way were also dressed in bondage gear. Only Gaga's looked like she was naked.
Adam in LA so much better then boring dick Clark. Who is watching it anyway. I never did . I wish I can go to see Adam. I am hoping my husband is surprising me since he knows how much I love Adam and my birthday is in three weeks. I am so happy for Adam. He is going to be a huge star all over the world.
I am surprised they aren't picking it up on cable. A lot of fans would really be happy to see Adam streamed anywhere, even if it is just online. I know ABC is off my TV permanently now as well.

New Years Eve will not be a great celebration without being able to watch Adam!!! I am a 55 year old grandmother and just can't believe that the opinons of a handful of closed minded, uptight people can control the US airwaves. ABC should be ashamed. I have always watched the ball drop on Dave Clarks NYE but never again. I will however be playing my Adam Lambert CD! Wish I could be in LA for his live performance but the trip is a bit far from northern Ontario, Canada where I live. Happy New Years Adam...hope to see you in Canada in 2010!

I have two extra general admission tickets to Gridlock New Year's Eve w/ Adam Lambert. I bought them on line and printed the tickets. The next day my credit card company called to check about possible fraud. They gave me the name of the organization charging for the tickets, which was not wanticketla.com, so I put a temporary hold on the charge. I investigated the site and, when I was satisfied that it was legit, removed the hold on the charge. I've tried to get in touch with Wanticket to assure them that I have paid for the tickets so they won't resell them, but I haven't reached them yet. I haven't offered the tickets for sale, because of this confusion, but, if you're interested in them you can reach me at drdmendoza@yahoo.com. If we can confirm that they will be honored at the event, I'll sell them at cost, $333.50 ($150 each plus service charge), or best offer.
I think that's so stupid. Watching Adam would've been a nice way to ring in the new year! Seriously-that's very stupid. Adam did nothing wrong. All he did was express his song through a little dance and stuff. That's-ERR! GMA was stupid for cutting him off their show for the same reason. Whatever-I'll find out which New Years show Adam'll be on and watch THAT.
I usually watch ABC's New Years Eve Show. Now, this year, I will, but will be VERY dissapointed not to see Adam. Adam's awesome and one little "stunt" which WAS NOT a stunt, is a lame reason to kick him off the show. They know about his sexuality, and if they have a problem with that, they have a problem with Adam, and I have a problem with THEM.
Not much can be done now. But I think ABC will be bringing Adam back. They got a lot of pressure. Now the pressure is over and they can move on and bring Adam back I sure hope it will be soon. Like An Adam Lambert Special.

It was well documented early on that Adam was never confirmed for the Rockin NYE show in the first place! I wish media would get this corrected. How can he be dropped when he was never confirmed in the first place? Geesh.
I will not be watching ABC, until they stop with this nonsense about Adam. Besides, it is a boring programm anyway.
I agree with Senna. I was going to watch ABC on New Years Eve, now I am going to do something else. It sucks that ABC still has a stick up their ass about this. It is over and done. Time to move on and let Adam be live again. He messed up and knows it, give him a break! It's getting really old. I just wish I could go to LA to see him live. =[ Oh well, hope he kicks ass.

Walters & the View when ADAM was on and will watch NO NYE TV on any channel ....... will watch ADAM perform at Upright Cabaret on Ytube videos from LAST NYE. That will be better than anything else UNLESS things change & he is broadcast somehow. ALSO have my FYE CD to listen to!

Im so frustrating about ABC, when they will pass to the other thinks and let Adam's perform on TV life on ABC? It is so ridiculious now I think its time to forget it and I pray one day to Adam's became the most huge stars and ABC want him again and Adam will be refuse to show on that stupide channel and tell to go to hell with there lessons that they give to Adam's.
This day just keeps getting better and better. Adam won't be televised and now I find out my lady Gaga tickets are worthless. We were so excited about seeing her at the Fox. Then I get an e-mail telling me that ticketmaster is changing the venue, or her promoters are. Same outcome no matter whose at fault. My daughter is so disappointed! Oh I get a crack at some kind of presale for Joe Louis. whoopie, Joe freakin Louis. I don't want to go there. My tickets were for the Fox. I will keep my money, and wait for Adam Lambert to come back to Michigan. If he doesn't want to come back to this hell hole, then I will fly out somewhere else. Hopefully somewhere warm.
