Adam Lambert understands why ABC has cancelled his upcoming appearances.
Adam Lambert caused a very loud controversy with his recent AMA performance, which got him cancelled at ABC's GMA. Days after that, he took to Twitter to express his intention to go in a new direction, but repeated he was not willing to apologize.
Now, ABC has cancelled the planned Adam Lambert appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and on New Year's eve.

IMHO, Adam 'understands' in that "I'm in the spotlight have to be classy' kind of way. Surely, he's burning a bit inside because when it comes down to it..whether ABC was doing what they had to because of the FCC or whether it's a completely different story..this is a tale of a blatant display of homophobia in 2009.
Adam understands that he doesn't need to stoop to ABC's level. ABC is wrong in thinking they can "punish" him, and their cancellations are a stupid decision. They proved that they are thinking with their rear ends when they booked Chris Brown in his place then canceled him after they realized that they made another stupid decision. How much did the ABC media gurus pay you to write this piece of trash?

Titling this article "Adam Lambert Understands..." seems a little misleading. I doubt he understands; not many people do. It's really incomprehensible. But he has accepted it. But I won't be watching ABC and I wonder how much they intend to punish this poor man.
@soniajs Adam Lambert tweeted "don't blame them" regarding ABC's decision. Doesn't that imply that he understands it?
The fact that Adam Lambert understand why ABC is doing this doesn't imply that he agrees. In my opinion ABC is going too far and they will end up painting themselves into a corner if they don't put and end to this soon.
ADAM is just trying to keep the fans from creating an uproar heard around the world. Saying that he 'understands' doesn't necessarily mean that he 'agrees' with ABC's decision to cancel his appearances ... especially on GMA where ADAM has appeared before. ABC is already receiving TONS of complaints over-shadowing the 1500 they received after the AMA performance and so are their sponsors. Many of the fans are boycotting ABC programs because of this ridiculous decision to keep ADAM from their precious NYE show. And they are all vowing to watch another channel in protest. Now was it really worth it ABC????
